Why is my chrome powder looking glittery instead of smooth?

A glittery or grainy finish usually happens if the powder is applied directly onto the sticky (inhibition) layer of gel polish or if the base surface isn't smooth enough. Always apply chrome powder over a cured No-Wipe Top Coat. If the surface is too sticky, the particles clump together rather than lying flat to create the chrome sheen.
